Mindfulness means being present and aware. It is defined as a mental state achieved by focusing on the present moment while acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations

Studies suggest establishing a mindfulness practice offers a variety of benefits, including:

  • Lowering stress and anxiety

  • Improving mental outlook and focus

  • Improving memory

  • Strengthening the immune system

  • Reducing isolation and depression
